Honestly some of the best pub food I've had. I had the potato nachos and the serving was huge! Plenty of toppings (they didn't skimp). Service was quick and attentive, especially to our 10 year old daughter. Waitress was incredibly sweet and thoughtful. Will 100% be going back!

This place was great! Fast, friendly service, and the food came quickly. Not only that, the food was delicious. I didn't want french fries or mashed potatoes so I got a double order of vegetables. The picture is after only one small bite. It didn't seem like it was doubled but I did have enough to eat. They even offered my daughter a freeze pop when she finished eating. Highly recommend. The parking lot is tiny so you may need to park on the street.

Found ourselves in Lisbon for an evening and we decided to eat in the area. Took a little searching but was able to determine that in door dining was available at Frank's with a reservation during covid world; so we made one. The place looks a little kitschy at first pass but dont let it put you off. There is moxie on the menu, but it is not ever present and the things it's in make sense and actually appealed to me...moxie onion jam...yes please. The whole restraint as near as I can tell eats like a bar. There is a long bar where people were eating as well as an area with elevated tables. If they had an area with standard seating I didnt see it. Now, on to the reason you actually go to a restraunt. My wife fell in love with the appetizer menu and wound up getting salad and an app. She got a Cesar which she described as the best she has had in years and I confirmed with the waitress they do make their own dressing. She also got the potato croquettes which she loved. I really think one of my sons is on a quest to eat the most expensive thing on every menu in Maine. To that end he got the steak tips which I believe were. They were flavorful and well cooked (mid rare). Some of the smaller pieces had the start of being a little mushy, but I cant hold that against a restraunt, god knows it's hard enough to walk the fine line between imparting flavor and over marinating at home let alone in a ready to cook kitchen. They came with seasonal veg carrot and parsnip both perfectly cooked for my taste (cooked not soft) and fries. I dont believe they cut their own fries. Not a condemnation, there are a handful of restraunts I've ever eaten at who cut their own and produce something better than they would have by just frying frozen. The fries were hot and crisp all I really ask for. Now we get into a more sordid issue...they don't have heinze 57. This is usually a near fatal oversight for me. But covid has the world upside down, so I'm crossing my fingers that somewhere in the back there was a crate of glass bottles with that friendly 57 on it waiting for better (more sane) times. That said their ketchup packet was good and not a hunts debacle. I've been know to leave before a meal and run to the store if hunts is put on the table. I almost always go burger first time at an american fare restraunt. If they cant do that right I save myself the trouble of exploring their menu further. I got the bronco burger; pattie was delicious, brioche bun well toasted always a win, veggies fresh and good. I always try and order food the way it is on the menu first time I try it, so I kept the aioli. Didnt love it, but mayonnaise (however fancy) has no place on a burger in my world. I got it with the onion rings. I'm team crumb when it comes to fried food and they were battered(says battered on the menu, no surprises). But as far as batterd goes they were great, not overly thick so they turn into little onion doughnuts. Crisp, hot and flavorful. My other son got the chicken finger basket. This was the lone meh of the meal. Tenders definitely were the frozen variety, but I can see it, folks ordering a chicken finger basket are generally not the eaters expecting something special, but it was an opportunity to pleasantly surprise that was missed. Staff was friendly, masked and polite, wife got a beveridge and it was strong; so probably a good place to go for drinks to boot.

Best bar in New England. Great atmosphere, food and staff.

Great place to grab a few brews and meet some great people. You need to try the moxie wings! You'll be able to catch the Pat's, Bruins, Celtics and Sox games. I love this place!

Great food, great atmosphere, great history and great service! Our server was also a local history teacher and gave us a brief history lesson of Lisbon Falls and Franks. She was awesome. If we lived closer, this would be our hangout!

Have you read Stephen King’s “11.22.63”? Turns out a lot of Jake Epping’s experience in Lisbon Falls was based on Stephen’s real experiences. For example, the Kennebec Fruit and Frank Anicetti were real along with the root beer and Moxie. This is the new place to honor Frank. The poutine was excellent. The root beer was nothing more than basic, but it was worth it all the same. Our server was great along with the atmosphere of the pub.

A Gem in the Sand... Frank's Restaurant if Lisbon Falls, Maine. All we can say is, We've lived in the area since January of 2020 and tonight was our 1st experience at Frank's but it won't be our last!! Served car-side on Rt 196 in front of the Corner Restaurant by Frank himself and his lovely wife. My wife asked me an hour earlier, 'Where can we get a Delicious Burger for dinner?' We googled that question and finally while at the checkout register at Food City, we asked our cashier, 'is there a restaurant in the area who serves the BEST Burger around?' Her response was, 'FRANK'S ON 196!!' We found it and pulled up into the Curb-Side spot for ordering/pick up if it our meal. Called the restaurant and Frank himself answered the phone. The online menu was mouth watering and we settled with the Bronco Burger for Diane with HOMEMADE RED MASHED POTATOES & a Garlic Parmesean sauce to go over the top and i ordered the Teriyaki Steak Tips Grilled to Perfection (chunks are more like it) 5 of them to be precise smothered with Mushrooms & Onions!! Accompanied by Streamed Mixed Crisp Vegetables and the Delicious Homemade Red Mashed Potatoes with garlic parmesean sauce to go on the top!! We found a romantic place to park our car, beside the water of Lisbon Falls. We got halfway through this delicious meal and had to call Frank to tell him how much we were enjoying his food!! I started off with, 'Frank, I think we've died and gone to heaven!!' The meal was THAT DELICIOUS!! We had discovered a Gem in the Sand with Frank's Restaurant and Pub. I almost forgot to mention the Homemade Chocolate Mousse and Homemade Cheesecake drizzled with Nuts and Caramel!! We now have a New Restaurant to visit... Frank's!! If this place is out of your way, it's well worth the Drive!! Tell 'em, 'Perry Sent Me!!' You setting regret it!! Bon Appetit!!
